Bashkortostan - leader in family mediators

Currently, 47 professional family mediators are working in Bashkortostan, resolving various conflicts between spouses. According to Lenara Ivanova, head of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the republic is the leader in Russia in terms of the number of these specialists.

"We aim to persuade couples not to divorce, and where this work is being carried out, we've seen excellent results. A child needs a mother and father, and to save a marriage, parents need to seek qualified help promptly," Ivanova said on the "Honestly Speaking" program on BST.

The divorce rate in Bashkortostan has decreased by 28%.
