Rescuers warn residents of Bashkortostan about snowdrifts and icy roads

According to the press service of the Bashkortostan State Committee for Emergency Situations, cloudy weather is expected across the republic on Monday, January 19, with clear spells at night. Snow is forecast, locally heavy, while no significant precipitation is expected in the northern areas at night. Icy conditions are possible in some districts, with snowdrifts, packed snow, and black ice on roads.

Winds will shift from easterly to westerly at 2–7 m/s, with gusts of up to 14 m/s in some areas during the day.

Nighttime temperatures will range from −10 to −15°C, dropping to −18 to −23°C in clear conditions. Daytime temperatures will be −5 to −10°C.

In some sections of highways, fog is expected at night and in the morning, with visibility reduced to 500 meters or less.

In Ufa, cloudy weather is forecast, with clear spells at night. Snow is expected, locally heavy, with snowdrifts, packed snow, and icy conditions on roads. Winds will shift from easterly to westerly at 2–7 m/s. Nighttime temperatures will be −10 to −12°C, dropping to −15 to −17°C in clear conditions, and daytime temperatures will be −6 to −8°C.
