Behavior grades to be introduced in all schools starting September 1
This academic year, behavior grades are already being assigned in six pilot regions.
The Russian Ministry of Education has prepared a draft order introducing behavior grades in schools. The changes are planned for the regulations governing the organization and delivery of educational activities under general education programs, RBC reports.
"Monitoring compliance with students' internal rules, including discipline during classes and rules of conduct within the institution, may include the assignment of behavior grades to students," the draft states.
The ministry clarified that behavior grades will be introduced in all schools starting September 1, 2026. It was also noted that the changes were developed based on the pilot project's results.
