On January 14, astronomers discovered a new asteroid heading toward Earth, RIA Novosti reported. The Institute of Applied Astronomy believes the probability of a collision is very high. But there's no need to worry—the celestial body is only 20 meters across, and such small objects are guaranteed to explode in Earth's atmosphere. Therefore, even if the asteroid does hit, only small fragments will reach the surface of our planet.
