Violation discovered in nature reserve in Bashkortostan

Part of the protected area was included in a logging site.

During an inspection, the environmental prosecutor's office identified a violation in the Belokataysky nature reserve. A large forest area had been allocated to a private entrepreneur for timber harvesting, and it was later found that part of this plot lay within a protected area where logging is prohibited. Thanks to the vigilance of law enforcement authorities, the protected land was excluded from the lease agreement.
