Bashgidromet comments on arrival of Cyclone Francis in Bashkortostan
The cyclone that brought extremely heavy snowfall to western Russia did not reach the republic.
No severe or abnormal snowfall is expected due to Cyclone Francis in Bashkortostan.
As a reminder, airport operations in Moscow were paralyzed due to heavy snowfall.
As Gulnaz Zagitova, head of the meteorological forecasting department at the Bashgidromet Center, told Bashinform in response to an inquiry, Francis lost its strength in the west, and even its residual effects will not reach the republic.
"In the near future, a high-pressure area is forecast in Bashkortostan, so we expect clear weather without precipitation in the coming days," Gulnaz Zagitova said.
