Bashkortostan residents can look forward to their next long weekend in February. In celebration of Defender of the Fatherland Day, employees working a five-day work week will enjoy three consecutive days off from February 21st to 23rd, spanning from Saturday to Monday.
As reported by Bashinform, Bashkortostan will have 9 shortened workweeks in 2026, with 7 of them linked to national holidays. In addition to the February long weekend, there will be a short workweek in March, followed by additional shortened weeks in April, just before the May holidays, and in June. Notably, November will feature a split workweek lasting only four days, while the final week of December will consist of just three working days.
Additionally, residents will receive an extra day off in March to celebrate Eid al-Fitr, which falls on March 20. May 27 will also be an additional day off in honor of Eid al-Adha, likely splitting the workweek.
