Ufa decides not to postpone opening of main Christmas tree despite cold

In Ufa, a decision was made not to cancel or postpone the opening ceremony of the main Christmas tree on Lenin Square. The celebration will begin at 5:00 p.m., the city administration told Bashinform.

Earlier, at an operational meeting, the head of the city administration, Ratmir Mavliev, suggested postponing the ceremonial opening due to the cold weather.

His deputy, Gullyariya Yalchikaeva, said that officials would "assess the situation." The festive program may be shortened.
