Temperatures in Bashkortostan to drop to −36°C

Light snow is expected in some areas.

According to the press service of the Bashkortostan branch of the Emergencies Ministry, cloudy weather with clear spells is forecast in the republic over the next 24 hours. Light snow is expected in some places. Winds will be northwesterly to westerly at 3–8 m/s at night and 7–12 m/s during the day. Nighttime temperatures will be −26 to −31°C, dropping to −36°C in clear conditions; in the Trans-Ural areas, they will be −20 to −25°C. Daytime temperatures will range from −19 to 24°C, locally falling to −29°C.

Icy conditions are expected on some road sections, with reduced visibility due to haze at night and in the morning, down to 2–4 km.
