Severe frosts of up to −36°C are expected in Bashkortostan

Severe cold weather is expected to move into Bashkortostan. As early as today, December 24, temperatures in the region will drop significantly, according to Bashgidromet forecasters. Light snow is expected, locally moderate, with icy conditions in some areas. Winds will be northwesterly and moderate. Daytime temperatures will range from −20 to −25°C, while in the southern parts they will be −6 to −11°C, falling by evening to −13 to −18°C.

Tomorrow, December 25, light snow is expected in some areas. Winds will remain northwesterly and moderate. Nighttime temperatures will be −25 to −30°C, dropping to −31 to −36°C in clear conditions. Daytime temperatures will be −20 to −25°C, locally reaching −30°C.
