A Russian lunar power station may be established by 2036. Roscosmos has recently signed a state contract with NPO Lavochkin.
The station is expected to provide power for lunar rovers and an observatory as part of Russia’s Lunar Program, as well as for facilities of the International Scientific Lunar Station.
Under the terms of the contract, the project предусматривает the development of spacecraft, ground-based experimental testing, flight tests, and the deployment of infrastructure on the Moon.
