According to the results compiled by the International Analytical Center for Sustainable Tourism Development at the RUDN University Graduate School of Management, in conjunction with the Russian tourism platform "Let's Go!", Bashkortostan entered the top 10 regions in the Tourist Attractiveness Index of the country's regions, the republic's Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Tourism reported. From 11th place in last year's ranking, the region rose to ninth, sharing this spot with Stavropol Krai and Kuzbass.
According to Minister Svetlana Vereshchagina, inclusion among the leaders confirms the effectiveness of the republic's ongoing efforts to develop the tourism industry, which are being carried out jointly with businesses, municipalities, and the professional community. "This result confirms that the approach to developing a diverse tourism product—from ethnographic and gastronomic routes to active ecotourism—resonates with travelers," the department head noted.
