Frozen mushrooms, winter honey fungus, have been spotted on trees in the forests of Bashkiria National Park, the park's press service reported.
Specialists explained that the mushrooms are Flammulina, also known as winter honey fungus. Flammulina can grow under snow and withstand temperatures as low as −8°C.
"This is because antifreeze-like substances protect its cells," representatives of Bashkiria National Park said.
