Residents of Bashkortostan warned of upcoming blizzard
Blizzard conditions and wind gusts of up to 15–20 meters per second are forecast in some parts of the republic tonight, the Main Directorate of the Emergencies Ministry reported, citing meteorological data.
Over the next 24 hours, cloudy weather with clear spells is expected. Light snow will fall at night, locally moderate, with blizzard conditions in some areas.
Tomorrow, light snow is expected in some areas. Winds will be northwesterly to westerly at 7–12 meters per second, with nighttime gusts reaching 15–20 meters per second.
Nighttime temperatures will range from −13 to −18°C, dropping to −23°C in clear conditions, while daytime temperatures will be −10 to −15°C. Visibility on highways may be reduced to 1–2 kilometers due to weather conditions.
