The State Duma Committee on State Building and Legislation approved an amendment proposing to increase the administrative fine for violating child transportation requirements for drivers from 3,000 to 5,000 rubles, for officials from 25,000 to 50,000 rubles, and for legal entities from 100,000 to 200,000 rubles.
The proposed amendments are to be made to Part 3 of Article 12.23 of the Russian Federation Code of Administrative Offenses.
The approved amendments propose that the fine for self-employed taxi drivers who transport children without car seats will be 50,000 rubles, the same as for officials, rather than 5,000 rubles for individuals, TASS reports.
