Hong Kong flu situation has worsened in Bashkortostan

In Bashkortostan, 80% of cases have been diagnosed with respiratory viruses other than influenza. Regarding influenza, the predominant strain in the republic is currently influenza A(H3N2), also known as the Hong Kong flu. It is detected in 80% of flu cases, according to Rospotrebnadzor.

The incidence rate is comparable to the same period last year.

A distinctive feature of Hong Kong flu is a difficult-to-reduce high fever of up to 40 degrees Celsius, severe body aches, headache, and possible vomiting, diarrhea, runny nose, and cough. The condition of those infected deteriorates sharply and very quickly.
