350 km of railway tracks have been de-iced in Bashkortostan

In Bashkortostan, 350 km of overhead contact system sections most susceptible to ice formation were treated with de-icing agents using KOLIBRI units.

"A trial run of ice-melting systems was conducted over a length of nearly 4,000 km. Twenty-six locomotives equipped with vibratory pantographs and pneumatic drums (including three diesel locomotives) and 54 mechanical de-icing units have been prepared to remove ice from overhead contact wires on the Kuibyshev Railway. Furthermore, upon receiving a signal from specialists and locomotive crews, the equipment is promptly deployed to those sections where necessary," the regional Ministry of Transport reported. Weather conditions are also constantly monitored, and information is collected from locomotive crews.
