Ufa Mayor announces new development programs

The coming year will be challenging; the capital of Bashkortostan isn't expecting any significant revenue, but that doesn't mean any programs will be suspended. Ufa Mayor Ratmir Mavliev stated this during a live Q&A session.

"The task is to find additional funding. This includes selling land through competitive bidding and municipal property that isn't always in use. I should note that thanks to this practice, we've replaced over 50,000 light fixtures. This creates savings that are being used to modernize lighting and install it where it's missing. I want to point out: don't say it's going to be a bad year. We need to find sources of additional revenue. We shouldn't be afraid of large expenses; we should be afraid of small incomes. Therefore, there will be expenses, and we will channel them into developing social infrastructure, building social facilities, and constructing the Bashkir Yards project." "We also need to fix potholes in the driveways between blocks. This is a very sensitive issue for city residents. So we're doing everything we can to ensure the city has funds for Ufa's development and to improve the lives of its residents," said Ratmir Mavliev.
