The Geminid meteor shower always produces the most abundant meteor shower, surpassing the Perseids in August. This year, on the night of December 14, residents of both hemispheres can observe a meteor shower. This is the expected peak time of the Geminid meteor shower, when stars appear to fall from the constellation Gemini. Unfortunately, the Moscow Planetarium noted that clear skies are rare in Russia in December, and cloud cover will hinder viewers' views of the celestial events.
Meanwhile, passengers on a flight organized by Roscosmos specifically to observe the Geminid meteor shower are guaranteed to see the meteor shower.
