Ufa residents who have made significant contributions to socio-economic activities, are involved in charity work, saved lives, or achieved considerable success in various fields will be nominated for the highest municipal award—the "For Merit" Medal. Moscow Mayor Ratmir Mavliev announced this.
The first recipient of this medal was Ufa resident Rimma Skotnikova. It is known that she used her own funds to purchase quadcopters, auto parts, and building materials for special operations forces.
"The sum, however, is huge, incomparable to any humanitarian convoy that has previously been collected. There are 42 items—all the most essential and valuable supplies for the front. Rimma Vakhabovna gave a piece of herself," commented Ratmir Mavliev.
Mavliev added that she will also be awarded the title of honorary citizen of the city.
