Message from past was found under Salavat Yulaev monument in Ufa.
It was packaged in a bottle.
"This message from the past was found under the Salavat Yulaev monument," said Ufa Mayor Ratmir Mavliev.
The note contains the names of residents of Baimak—possibly the construction workers who placed the note in the bottle back in May 1967, during the installation of the famous equestrian statue.
The Salavat Yulaev monument, the work of People's Artist of North Ossetia and Bashkir monumental sculptor Soslanbek Tavasiev, was unveiled on November 17, 1967, on the high bank of the Belaya River in Ufa.
