Bashkortostan's head, Radiy Khabirov, wrote about Elbrus Nigmatullin, a multiple holder of the "Russia's Strongest Man" title and two-time CIS and Baltic strongman champion.
"Several years ago, I invited Elbrus Nigmatullin, an outstanding son of the Bashkir people, from Chelyabinsk to Bashkortostan to share his experience and knowledge with our residents and promote sports and a healthy lifestyle," the head of the republic wrote.
Elbrus now lives in Ufa. He is very active and has been elected as a deputy to the republic's State Assembly. He does a lot for our children, introducing them to sports. It's wonderful when our fellow countrymen, bright, accomplished individuals with extensive experience in various fields, return home."
