Parents in Russia will be able to track their children's location using special SIM cards. The initiative was presented by the country's Minister of Digital Development, Maksut Shadayev, at a forum of the LizaAlert group, RIA Novosti reports.
Such a SIM card will be available with the official consent of the child's legal guardians. A similar feature is planned for older people on the Gosuslugi website, allowing a trusted person to access their location.
In both cases, filing an official application or obtaining a court order will not be required.
