Traffic police in Bashkiria warn of large-scale checks on Ufa–Orenburg highway

"Today from 7 a.m., as part of the specialized operation 'Freight Transport', officers of the State Traffic Inspectorate's special road patrol unit are conducting mass driver checks at the 113th kilometer of the Ufa–Orenburg highway," wrote Bashkiria's chief traffic inspector, Vladimir Sevastyanov, on social media.

He noted that the operation aims to prevent road accidents and eliminate serious traffic violations among truck drivers. Sevastyanov also reminded drivers that the "total check" tactic involves stopping all vehicles without exception on a pre-selected safe section of the road.
