The domestic and inbound tourist flow in Bashkiria is planned to increase to 2.9 million trips by 2030. The updated state program in this area was approved by the Prime Minister of the Republic, Andrey Nazarov, as part of Russia's national development goals.
According to the official document, the tourism industry's share of the region's GDP should rise to 5% by 2030, while tourism service exports are expected to triple from 2023 levels.
To achieve these goals, authorities will focus on developing modern infrastructure, building a high-quality tourism industry — including eco-tourism — and creating conditions for travel for elderly people and residents with disabilities.
