Massive WhatsApp* outage hits Bashkortostan

Users across Ufa and the wider Republic of Bashkortostan report widespread malfunctions with the WhatsApp* messaging service. According to users, both the mobile app and web version are affected — a message reading "Computer not connected. Please try again" appears when attempting to log in.

Data from the service Downdetector show that the outage is not confined to this region; it is also being experienced in neighboring Sverdlovsk Oblast, Adygea, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Rostov Oblast, and Astrakhan Oblast. The exact cause of the failure is yet unknown.
