Restoration work on the monument to Salavat Yulaev continues in Ufa. According to the regional Cultural Heritage Committee, the upper section of the horse sculpture has been dismantled at this stage. Specialists are studying the feasibility of restoring the bronze protective coating on the monument's cast-iron surface, as planned in the project, to ensure its long-term preservation. Currently, the bronze layer has worn off by about half.
Restoration work will begin after all parts of the sculpture are transported to a specialized workshop in Ufa. The national hero is expected to return to his place in 2027.
