Minimum wage in 2026 has been announced.
The Russian government plans to increase the minimum wage by more than 20%.
According to the proposed changes, the minimum wage will be 27,093 rubles effective January 1, 2026. This change will affect the salaries of 4.5 million people. The minimum wage is also necessary for calculating many other payments, including vacation pay, sick leave, and benefits.
"The President emphasized that the minimum wage already exceeds the subsistence minimum. And this indexation will continue. Income growth is a constant focus for the government," noted Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
