More than 215,000 residents of Republic of Bashkortostan have been vaccinated against flu this year
The vaccination campaign in the country officially started on September 4.
According to the regional office of Rospotrebnadzor, 215,156 people in the republic have currently been vaccinated against the flu.
Doctors remind that vaccination against the flu is the most effective method of disease prevention, protects against severe consequences of the flu, reduces the risk of community-acquired pneumonia, and helps the immune system produce protective antibodies. The most effective period for vaccination is from September to November.
