Asteroid flew over Earth
The asteroid's body did not pose a danger to the Earth and missed the planet at a distance of just over 200 thousand km.
According to the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the asteroid 2025 QD8, measuring 22 meters, flew inside the lunar orbit on September 3, approaching the Earth at a minimum distance.
Scientists noted that the object was first noticed on August 18, 2025, and was previously unknown.
Currently, the celestial object is still inside the orbit of the Moon, the institute clarified.
