Magnetic Storm Warning Issued for Bashkortostan Residents on September 1–2
According to forecasts, the peak is expected in the second half of Tuesday.
Geomagnetic disturbances will begin on September 1 around 11:00 p.m. Moscow time and are expected to last between 30 and 45 hours — covering all of Tuesday, September 2, and at least part of Wednesday.
According to the NOAA Space Weather Scale, G3-level storms are considered strong and may lead to increased satellite orbital drag, false tripping of power system protection equipment, disruptions in radio communications, and interruptions in satellite navigation systems.
Polar auroras may also occur and could be visible at mid-latitudes between 50 and 55 degrees.
