A total lunar eclipse, visible in Bashkiria, will occur on the night of September 7-8. It will begin at 21:27 Ufa time and end on September 8 at 00:56 Ufa time.
Lunar eclipses occur during full moons, when the Sun, Earth, and Moon are aligned on the same line and the Moon, moving in orbit, falls into the shadow cast by the Earth. During a total lunar eclipse, the entire Moon falls into the Earth's shadow. When the Moon is in the Earth's shadow, it appears with a reddish-orange color. Because of this, the Moon is sometimes called bloody during an eclipse. During a partial lunar eclipse, only part of the Moon enters the Earth's shadow.
Residents of Bashkiria did not see the previous lunar eclipse in March of this year - it occurred below the horizon.
