In Russia in 2025, about 1.5 million first-graders will go to school; in total, more than 18 million children will go to school on September 1. Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko announced this at the All-Russian meeting with the heads of regional educational departments.
"On September 1, more than 18 million children will go to 40 thousand schools across the country, including about 1.5 million first-graders. In 28 regions, 43 new schools will be ceremonially opened," the press service of the government apparatus quotes him as saying.
The press service of the Ministry of Education of the republic reported that in Bashkiria, about 45 thousand first-graders will go to school in September. In total, more than 500 thousand schoolchildren will begin the new academic year in the republic.
