Mosaic fountain launched in Ufa

The fountain, built in 1975, has not been functioning for 20 years. It was famous for its remarkable mosaic depicting marine and plant motifs. Its reconstruction began last year along with the improvement of the park.

The unique ornament and shape of the fountain have been preserved. Now the reconstruction work has entered its final stage.

According to the city administration, the fountain will operate in test mode for several days to carry out commissioning work and check the tightness of the fountain's pumping system.

From August 7, the smalt cladding of the vertical sections of the volumetric figures of the bowl will begin. By this time, the water from the fountain will be drained. The work is planned to be completed by the end of September.
