Artist Day will appear in Russia
A new professional holiday, Artist Day, will appear in Russia, the Russian government's Telegram channel reports.
The holiday will be January 17, the birthday of the first People's Artist of the USSR, one of the founders of the Moscow Art Theater, an outstanding teacher and creator of the acting system, Konstantin Sergeyevich Stanislavsky.
January 17 will be a holiday for theater, film, and circus artists, as well as for musicians and pop performers.
The initiative to establish Artist Day was submitted to the government by Vladimir Mashkov, Chairman of the Union of Theater Workers of the Russian Federation.
