On July 26, a government decree on new traffic rules came into force in Russia on giving priority on the road to vehicles with special signals. From that day on, motorists are required to clear the lane not only for ambulances, firefighters or police, but also for vehicles with flashing beacons and sound signals. Drivers are required to either move into the adjacent lane or pull over to the side of the road.
Since July 18, the fine for violating this rule is 10 thousand rubles. The country’s president, Vladimir Putin, signed the decree.
