Radiy Khabirov and State Duma deputy chairman Alexander Babakov discussed sport developments

The head of Bashkiria Radiy Khabirov met with the deputy chairman of the State Duma, a member of the Just Russia faction, the president’s special representative for interacting with compatriots abroad, Russian table tennis President Alexander Babakov.

They discussed issues of socio-political and socio-economic development of the region, as well as the development of professional and mass sports in the republic. In particular, it was about table tennis, which about 25 thousand people are engaged in Bashkiria. In the republic, they plan to build a number of objects for training this sport.

Alexander Babakov praised the socio-economic development of Bashkiria and emphasized that the republic in many directions is a leader in the country. He noted that a strong economy and people who are ready to move forward have developed in the region.

In terms of the construction of sports facilities of Bashkiria, in second place in the country. Over the past 5 years, more than 1,400 objects have been introduced in the republic. Last year, the construction of unique facilities - the Palace of Struggle, the Center for Fencing, the first stage of the complex of structures for rowing slalom was completed. The plan to build a complex with a covered athletics arena and the school of the Olympic reserve. In Ufa, the Boxing Center and the Tennis Academy will be build.
