Russia announces electronic student ID cards

This was announced by Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education Andrey Omelchuk at a meeting of the expert council of the State Duma Committee on Youth Policy, dedicated to the topic of "Digital Profile of a Young Person".

Electronic student ID cards should soon start working in Russia.

"We already have some decisions with the Ministry of Digital Development and Rosobrnadzor regarding the launch of digital confirmation of student status, a conditional digital student ID card, in the near future," TASS quotes him as saying.
