This year, five additional modern dairy farms are set to begin operating in Bashkortostan, according to the regional Ministry of Agriculture.
This will enable the republic to increase its commercial milk production by more than 15,000 tons annually. Among the largest farms currently under construction is the new Kalinina dairy complex near the village of Yuzhny in the Sterlitamak District. It is designed to house 3,500 milking cows.
As noted by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Ilshat Fazrakhmanov, this will be one of the largest dairy complexes in Russia. Modern engineering solutions have been implemented in its construction, such as a cross-ventilation system and year-round indoor microclimate monitoring.
