A total of 8,655 people have sought medical help in Bashkortostan due to tick bites, with over 3,000 of them being children, according to the regional office of Rospotrebnadzor.
The agency reminds residents that if a blood-sucking tick is found on oneself or a child, it is necessary to immediately visit a trauma center or local clinic to have the tick removed and sent for analysis.
When heading out into nature, it is recommended to wear light-colored clothing. Ticks are easier to spot on light-colored fabrics and can be removed before they bite, helping to prevent potential diseases.
