Sabantuy to be held in Moscow

On July 5, the Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve in Moscow will host Sabantuy, a traditional national holiday. The event is organized with the support of the governments of Moscow, Bashkortostan, and Tatarstan, according to the organizers.

The main stage will feature performances by well-known artists, dance groups, and musical ensembles. Special guests include Zagir Zaynetdinov (ZAINETDIN), Firdus Tyamaev, the Bishbarmak Orchestra, Gayaz Gayetbaev, Aigul Asadullina, and other popular performers.

This year’s national wrestling arena will host the final matches of the World Cup in two styles — Koresh and Kyrgyz Kurosh — with top athletes from 15 countries competing. An open tournament will also be held for anyone wishing to participate.

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore authentic Bashkir and Tatar village areas, complete with traditional interiors and elements specially brought from the regions. Folk games and craft fairs will be held, and guests can sample national cuisine at the World Nations’ Kitchen area. Festivities at Kolomenskoye will run from 11:00 to 22:00.

Earlier, Bashinform reported that the “Sabantuy – 2025” festival celebrating the culture, customs, and traditions of Bashkortostan was held for the first time at the Konkovo Ponds in Moscow.
