Svetlana Mustafina, Chairperson of the State Committee for Science and Higher Education of Bashkortostan, stated at a press conference held at Bashinform that hosting the 13th All-Russian Congress of Young Scientists and Student Scientific Societies in Ufa is an honorary mission for the region.
The large-scale forum titled "From the Depths of Traditions to the Heights of Technologies" will begin tomorrow, July 2, at the Toratau Congress Hall and will run until July 4.
Svetlana Mustafina said that Bashkortostan had made significant progress in supporting science, with four universities participating in the Priority-2030 program. She noted an impressive campus was being built in Ufa’s city center. Mustafina highlighted the youth—grant recipients, doctors, and candidates as the region’s key asset, connecting at events like this. She added that the upcoming congress was an opportunity to showcase strengths, adopt best practices, and share experiences with other regions.
The congress is held annually by presidential order as part of the Decade of Science and Technology. Its main goal is to involve young scientists in addressing the key challenges of societal and national development.
About 2,000 scientists from across Russia will participate, including representatives of federal, regional, and sectoral councils of young scientists; student scientific societies; recipients of the Russian Federation President’s Award for science and innovation for young scientists; young scientists receiving state support; leaders and participants of youth laboratories; graduates of the personnel development program in science, technology, and higher education; as well as students and graduate students from across the country.
The forum’s business program includes more than 50 events.
The detailed program is available on the official event website.
