Record 7 billion rubles allocated for medicines in Bashkortostan

The government of Bashkortostan discussed providing citizens with subsidized medicines. This year, funding has increased by 700 million rubles and now stands at 7 billion rubles, as reported at the meeting.

In Bashkortostan, approximately 749,000 people are eligible for subsidized medicines. Of these, 319.6 thousand are federal beneficiaries, and 429.5 thousand are regional beneficiaries.

In the first four months of this year, more than 707,000 prescriptions were accepted in the republic, totaling over 4.48 billion rubles. At the same time, the cost of medicines for one federal beneficiary exceeded 16,000 rubles, while for one regional beneficiary, it was more than 14,000 rubles.

For 14 high-cost nosologies, 4,100 people were provided for at the expense of the federal budget, with the volume of dispensed medicines amounting to more than 814.58 million rubles, stated the Minister of Health, Airat Rakhmatullin.

Medicines and medical products are provided to 370 patients in Bashkiria at the expense of the Fund for Support of Children with Severe Life-Threatening and Chronic Diseases, Including Rare (Orphan) Diseases "Circle of Goodness".

Following the meeting, the Prime Minister of the regional government Andrei Nazarov instructed the Ministry of Health, together with the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Bashkiria, to strengthen their work to inform residents about the possibility of receiving medicines and medical products as a social service.
