Laboratory for study of dangerous and unknown infections will be built in Ufa

A total of 16 medical institutions were included in the list of capital construction projects approved by the government, implemented within the framework of the state program of the Russian Federation "Healthcare Development". The construction and reconstruction of such facilities is planned to be "carried out in full or in part at the expense of the federal budget," the document specifies.

Among them is the construction of a high-level biological safety laboratory for the prompt decoding and study of dangerous and unknown infections in Ufa. Similar laboratories will also be established in Blagoveshchensk, Krasnoyarsk, Magadan, Perm, Samara, and Chelyabinsk.

The list also includes the construction of buildings for the Federal Scientific Center for Medical and Preventive Technologies for Managing Population Health Risks in Perm, the reconstruction of a building with an extension for the production of medical immunobiological preparations at the Rostov Research Institute of Microbiology and Parasitology of Rospotrebnadzor, the construction of a complex of buildings for the Pasteur Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology in St. Petersburg, the reconstruction of a laboratory building for the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology in the Kaliningrad Region, and other facilities.
