Vladimir Putin presented awards to Heroes of Labor

On Russia Day, the Kremlin hosted a ceremony to present Hero of Labor medals and the 2024 Russian Federation State Prizes in science and technology, literature and art, for outstanding achievements in humanitarian, human rights, and charitable activities. This was reported on the official website of the President of the Russian Federation.

The President congratulated those present on Russia Day.

"I sincerely congratulate you on the holiday that symbolizes the powerful, continuous, more than a thousand-year path of the Russian State, its history and culture, unique natural wealth, diversity and originality of the regions, marks the common destiny of our multinational people, the services to the Fatherland of all generations, their loyalty to the traditions of unity in labor and military achievements," Vladimir Putin noted.

Representatives of various professions were awarded high state awards. Vladimir Putin awarded the title of Hero of Labor to Deputy Scientific Director of the Federal Nuclear Center Yuri Dikov; Chairman of the Expert Council of the Ekaterininsky Foundation for the Support of Culture and Art, People's Artist of the Russian Federation, composer Alexander Zatsepin; fitter-electrician of the Tver Carriage Works Vyacheslav Zintsov; tractor driver, manager of the department of OOO Zori Kavkaza Sultangirey Kostoyev; writer, editor-in-chief of the newspaper Zavtra Alexander Prokhanov; and chief physician of the city hospital No. 2 of the city of Gorlovka Nelli Yakunenko. In addition, State Prizes were awarded in the fields of science and technology, literature, and art, for outstanding achievements in humanitarian, human rights, and charitable activities. The President personally presented state awards to outstanding scientists, doctors, teachers, workers, entrepreneurs, and cultural figures—representatives of various spheres who contribute to the country's development daily. This clearly shows that the achievements of its citizens measure the true greatness of a state. These awards have become not just recognition of merits, but also worthy examples of service to the Motherland.
