City Day and Russia Day: Festive events program on June 12

On June 12, as part of the celebration of Russia Day, City Day, and Salavat Yulaev's birthday, various cultural, entertainment, sports, and other events are planned in Ufa. The capital's mayor's office presented the full program of celebrations for this day.

The first event will be the traditional laying of flowers at the Friendship Monument, the stele "Ufa - the city of labor valor", and the monuments to Shaikhzade Babich and Salavat Yulaev.

At noon on the Ufa Arena square (from the side of Tsyurupa Street), the opening of the gastronomic festival "Yest" will take place. A visit by the delegation of the World Crafts Council AISBL is expected, where its president, Saad Al-Kaddoumi, will announce the assignment of Ufa the status of World Crafts City.

A craft fair will be held at the festival site. Pavilions, branded tents, yurts, and half-yurts will be set up in the event areas. In the Zvezda tent, a miniature tea set with a Bashkir ornament will be made at the Potters and Ceramics master class. It will be presented on a podium under a glass flask, where visitors will be able to examine the details of the master's work through a large magnifying glass. Another memorable moment will be the making of a 40 cm high vase, where guests will be asked to leave their autograph using pre-made stamps with their initials. Then the vase will be transferred to the Ufa City History Museum.

From midday, an exhibition of industrial achievements will be organized on the square in front of the Ufa Arena (from Lenin Street). Additionally, an exhibition of folk art and crafts, titled "Ethno-city," will be held, and master classes in pottery and woodworking will be offered. From 12:00 to 20:00, a festive event, "To the Glory of Russia and the Beloved City," will take place in front of the Russian Drama Theater. The creative teams of the City Palace of Culture, the Motostroitel Community Center, the State Cultural Center, the Ufa Song and Dance Ensemble "Miras", the Ufa Children's Philharmonic, the Yadkar and Duslyk Community Centers, and the Ufa City Palace of Children's Creativity will take to the stage. Active entertainment for children, interactive zones, and a craft fair will be organized on Lenin Square. At 9 o'clock, an open kuresh tournament for the Ufa Administration Cup will take place on the square in front of the Ufa Arena. Athletes will once again compete for valuable prizes in the primary national sport, including a motorcycle and a trophy lamb. District festive events dedicated to the celebration of Russia Day, City Day, and the birthday of the national hero of the republic, Salavat Yulaev, will be held from 12 to 20:00.

In Kashkadan Park, residents and guests of the capital can participate in the festival "From the Past to the Future". Popular and in-demand disciplines among city residents will be presented here, including basketball, football, as well as phygital directions such as phygital basketball, parkour, and football. As part of the festival, there will be SUP races on the lake; everyone is welcome to participate. The start is at 09:00. 100-meter swims will begin at 10:00. Additionally, at 10:00 on the streetball court of Kashkadan Park, a streetball tournament between Russian and Belarusian athletes is planned.

In addition, Kashkadan Park will host a physical culture and mass event for people with disabilities, organized by the Ufa administration in collaboration with the organization of people with disabilities, "World". The program includes: track and field races, figure driving in wheelchairs, kettlebell lifting, darts, standing long jump, and shot put. Starts at noon.
