Specially protected areas control will be assigned to Federal Protective Service

Supervision over the use of specially protected natural areas in Bashkortostan will be transferred to the Federal Protective Service. The deputies of the Kurultai of the republic will consider the corresponding law in the first reading at the final plenary meeting of the spring session.

The State Assembly Committee on Agrarian Issues, Ecology, and Nature Management supported the proposed amendments to the law "On Specially Protected Natural Areas in the Republic of Bashkortostan."

As explained by Konstantin Tolkachev, the speaker of the regional parliament, the initiative optimizes the system of state control and supervision in the field of protection and use of specially protected natural areas.

"Certain types of control, which are currently assigned to Rosprirodnadzor, are transferred to the Federal Protective Service of the Russian Federation. This will ensure effective environmental protection and the safety of facilities. Clarification of control mechanisms will contribute to the rational use of natural resources and the preservation of ecosystems," Tolkachev is confident.
