Ufa resident Alexander Tretyak became the millionth blood donor registered in the Unified Information Database of Blood and Blood Component Donation. Today, he was presented with a commemorative statuette at the Republican Blood Transfusion Station, according to Airat Rakhmatullin, the head of the Ministry of Health of Bashkortostan.
According to the minister, Alexander Tretyak has been involved in the donor movement since 2014 and is a shining example of selfless giving and saving lives. During this time, he has donated blood eight times.
Honorary donors of Bashkortostan were also recognized: Yuri Troshkin from Sterlitamak, who made 92 donations; Artur Chanyshev from Ufa, who distinguished himself with the most significant number of platelet donations—39; and the Adelmurzin donor dynasty from Beloretsk, who made a total of 218 donations.
