More than 1 million flowers were planted in Ufa parks and squares

More than 1.5 million flowers were planted in Ufa parks and squares, the head of the capital's public utilities and improvement department, Arsen Latypov, reported at an operational meeting in the mayor's office. In total, more than 1.4 million flowers are planned to be planted.

As part of the environmental campaign "Green Bashkiria", more than 4 thousand trees and shrubs were planted in Ufa, including more than 200 large-sized linden trees, the official said. Thus, decorative apple trees, Virginia bird cherries, decorative shrubs, and hydrangeas appeared on Zaki Validi Street. On the central and guest streets of the city, tubs are being installed for planting thujas, shrubs, and flower plants.

Public utilities are also tidying up flower squares - in front of the Rodina movie theater, the Bashkortostan State Concert Hall, and the National Youth Theater. The work is promised to be completed by June 10.
