On June 3, in the House of the Republic, the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, met with the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs, Yaroslav Nilov.
The meeting discussed issues related to developing the social sphere, including support for participants in the special military operation and their families, according to the press service of the Head of the Republic. Particular attention was paid to the work of the Fatherland Defenders Foundation branch. The organization will receive additional premises in the center of Ufa near Sovetskaya Square, where a monument to the Hero of Russia, Major General Minigali Shaimuratov, is installed.
Yaroslav Nilov, in turn, noted the systematic work of the republic to support military personnel and their families.
"Today, the theme of supporting the participants of the SMO runs like a red thread. The task at all levels of government is to be prepared to provide comprehensive assistance. This includes psychological support, therapy, and the opening of new rehabilitation centers. The head of Bashkortostan decided to open an additional rehabilitation center, as well as provide new premises for the branch of the State Fund "Defenders of the Fatherland". Its location in the city center, next to places of historical memory, will make the interaction of SMO participants with the fund as convenient as possible, and the branch will become a kind of multifunctional center for fighters and their families," he said. In Bashkortostan, more than 11,000 specialists currently work in the republic's social protection system. It combines various areas, including social support, public services, employment, labor, and family policy issues.
